ing of The Hay Township Farmers'
Mutual Fire Insurance Company was
held in the Town Hall, Zurich on
Monday afternoon, with a fairly
large attendance of policyholders,
and the meeting was interesting. Mr.
Peter Martene, president for the past
year was appointed chairman for the
meeting. Mr. Henry Eilber, the Man-
ager of the Company gave his report
as losses during the year of $13,101.-
97.
13,101-97. He advised the audience that
this. company has been very fortunate
the past year in comparison with oth-
er companies in the vicinity, and in
order to keep down insurance rates
they must use more viligence with
matches and cigarettes, and keep
good lanterns in good condition, said
Mr. Eilber. The company is very
careful as to taking on risks and no
applicant is accepted where they
do Dot consider it the best of risks.
The three. Directors' whose term of
office that expired were, Peter Mar-
tene, Stephen Webb, and Goldie
Graham. Mr. Ruebed Gates was el-
ected in place of Mr. Marteno while
