PHONE 69 1 ALBFLEISC Robbery at Drysdale Excitement ran high at Drysdale 'corner on Tuesday morning when it was learned that some time during the night burglars had entered the store known as Joe's Place, and +uad helped themselves to seine chocolate candy and cigarettes, al:e a quantity of tobacco is missing. While the mauraders did not take everything in sight, yet some twenty dollars of e. merchandise were taking, and we can only say that these parties if '41 they get by with it, will have cheap smokes for the winter. But it is a very risky business, as Provincial Constable Whitesides of Goderich was notified, and we know this offic- ial usually gets his pian. And should he get the guilty parties it would probably be a few months of confinement with board and lodging ,thrown in at the Goderich institution that is surrounded with a high stone 'wall, and where you must do as you are told, and the fun would not be so big. Statement Upon urgent request and on due consideration Exeter Creamery Co., Ltd., decided to issue a statement in regard to certain newspaper public- ity recently given the company. The facts are these: In September one churning only from Winchelsea cre- amery, and none from the Exeter creamery, was found by an inspect- or to contain excess moisture. This churning, according to the test made at the creamery, was within the leg- al standard and was sent out in good faith. On request of the company the butter was released by the insp- ector, brought back and reworked to comply with legal standards before again being offered for sane. In che- cking up to find the cause of the tro- uble it was found that the moisture test scales at 'Winchelsea were not weighing accurately, and were im- mediately replaced. This butter was made as usual. No water acts added. There was no fraud in the transact- ion and under the circumstances it could scarcely have been avoided.
