Mr, George Clausius, living just
,-th of the village, passed this life
' t Sunday evening, November 29th,
ed 70 years, 2 months and 25 days.
Deceased had not enjoyed her health
for the last two years, having during
this period had a few hard attacks
Of heart failure, of which ailment
'she passed peacefully away with only
a few minutes of suffering on Sun-
day( evening. She was born on Sept-
ember 4th 1861, in East Zora Town-
ship, and was confirmed to the Luth-
eran faith, to which she remained to
the end in 1876 in the East Zora
Lutheran church. On November 1888
deceased was united in marriage to
her now sorrowing husband, Mr.

• life together. This is the first death

in this happy union. Mrs Clausius
was a real christian lady, a good nei-
ghbor, always ready to give a helping
hand to anyone in need, faithful to
her church and family. The bereaved
are: Her sorrowing husband, Mr.
Clausius; four sons; Henry of the
Blind Line, Hay Tp; Elmer of Detroit
William of Tavistock, and Robert
Clausius at home. Two daughters;
Mrs William Facey of Tavistock,
and Miss Amelia Clausius at home,
also five grandchildren, one sister,
Mrs. Facey of Tavistock. The fun-
eral which was largely attended was
held on Wednesday afternoon, with
services in' the Lutheran Church, in-
terment being made in the Lutheran
Cemetery, Rev. E. Turkheim her pas -
Air officiating. The bereaved have
the sympathy 'of their many friends
n the loss of mother from the honie.
' At a meeting held on Monday ev-
ening the following officers were el-
ected for the coming season for the
Zurich Hockey Club: Hon. Presi-
dent, Charles Fritz; President, Lee
O'Brein; Sec -Treasurer, J. W. Hab-
erer. It Was decided to enter two
'teams. One in the Cyclone League
and one in the Hay Township League
