Gabel spoke a few words on behalf of the Cemetery then Rev. Dreier apake briefly and the large gathering were perivit•- ted to enter the cemeL. ry. After a short period, the people all gathered on the fine school grounds next to the cemetery, where the fine large maple trees and the nice grass afford. ed a most comfortable spot for the: selected programme. The Dashwood Band played a number of appeop- .riate sacred numbers which fittetd in at this time. Rev. Dreier acted as chairman and after a few opening remarks and musical numbers called on RevA. W. Sauer of Dashwood who spoke with well chosen words and closing his message with a solo. Rev. Nelson Dreier of Osage, Iowa gave the Decoration Sermon which could not be unproved upon for the 1 occasion, the Gabel quartette gave a number, the Dashwood Ladies' quar- tette also sang, and the men's chorus of Zurich rendered a number, also the Zurich choir rendered an anthem. After the benediction the Dashwood Sand played a very well received quartette on their instruments, We cannot not let this opportunity go by to congratulate the cemetery board and all who gave of their time and means to make this spot just what it is, The ground nicely levelled, a new fence with suitable entrance ;pillars, some more land purchased and added, in fact it is a most cred- itable ,swot. The day's proceeds a- mounted to some $80.00 and will be used to good advantage. sale purposes. Tell your ueighbors about it and come real often yovr- sel On. Wednesday afternoon last, we noticed the town somewhat deserted; as few of the villagers were to be seen, and on enquiry we learn d that the whole town had moved a .vn to the baseball grounds, and we it'could not help but recall our nnerno es of the good old days when basebll was at its height in Zurich and when er n- wds that neaxed the thousand. -mane would gather, from near and, flii to see these championship games. But fame' makes changes, andlet us hope that the new- team that is being built up will bring back the old fire and pep into the game. Rev. Nelson Dreier, who is visiting with his parents, Rev. -and Mrs. W.Y. Dreier, of town, and who is accomp- anied by his wife, are jurt returning from a motor trip to the western Coast of the American side and retu- rning by the Canadian side. The trip consisted of over seven thoustnd mil- es as far as Zurich and was indeed a rare opportunity for the young Coo pie i'o see so much of country and scenery. Mr. Dreier took charge' the morning service in the local Evan- 1ical church en Sunday and preach- ed a very admirable sermon. "He at so delivered the sermon at'1lie Decor- ation Service at the cemetery in the afternoon. Rev.
