Almost Loses Sight
Mr. John Schumacher, of near Dash -1
wood, who has been employed oan the
the
farm of Mrs. Arthur Doupe,
Thames Road, met with a peculiar
accident which caused him to lose the
sight of one eye and almost blinded
him on both eyes for life. He was re-
moving an old can of powder from
a window in the barn when in the
barn when the can slipped and some
of the powder came in. contact with
his eyes burning them badly. He
was taken to Exeter Hospital and it
was at first thought he would lost
the sight of both eyes but one of the
eyes is now clearing nicely. Mr. Sch-
umacher was able to leave the hosp-
ital Monday last.
