A pretty wedding was solemnized
at the Manse, Egmondvllle; on Wed-
nesday June '24tH,. when 'Blanche
Iona, third daughter of Mr: and Mrs.
Alex. Wallace, Seafort'h, was united
in. marriage to Richard' Orvar Blake,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Blake,
Clinton. The ceremony was perfor-
med by Rev. C. A. II'Ialeolin.
Marvin Shrigley, of Fordwicli dis-
trict, was the victim' of a painful ac-
cident recently- Ire was leading. a
cow when the animal became numan-
ageable and ran. away. Mr. Shrigley
had the rope around his hand and co-
uld not release it, with the result that
he was dragged some distance and re-
ceived some painful bruises and his
hand was burned to• the bone by the
rope.

has been discontinued there is a daily,
bus service to points north as far as
Goderich and south to London and
Sarnia, also to the Bend. and Park-
hill,
arkhill, which is a great convenience to

Suffering from sunstroke since act
Tuesday, David Turnbull 44, unmar-
ried,'o.f near Exeter, died•at t the
home sof his brother, James, here art
Saturday. Mr. Turnbull arrived. at
his brother's farm last Monday and
was assisting in the work in the
field when he suffered the stroke
from which he failed to regain con-
sciousness. The funeral was held
to Exeter cemetery on Monday.
Miss Bertha Bell of Toronto, is
visiting for a few days with friends
in town.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Shepherd
of Paisley spent the week -end with
the former's father, John Shepherd.
Fred Manns narrowly escaped a
bad accident when he collided with
an auto on our Main St. He was rid-
ing on a bicycle at the time and cary-
ing a large tin vessel, and in turning
in to the shop, he was struck with
considerable force, enough to smash' -

services. After retiring to the Cemet-

Dignan, of the Exeter Lodge. Mr.
