The District Annual W., 1.

The District Annual of the South
Huron Women's Institute was held

United Church, Crediton. There we-
re 75 representative members pres-
ent from the district. The president
Miss N. Reddy of Hurondale, took
the chair. The Institute Ode and the
Lord's Prayer constituted the open-
ing devotion. Community songs were
conducted by Mrs. Emmery Fahner
of Crediton. The financial report as
given by the secty-treas, Mrs. Dan
Mcisaac of Crediton, shows the dist-
rict to be in excellent financial stand-
ing. A reading "My Laddie" was
given by Miss Pearl Wurtz of Zur-

How Is Your Subscription?
Just a word to our many readers
and customers. At this time of the
year we take pleasure in greatly
thanking .our many friends who have
renewed their subscriptions to the
Herald, which has helped us greatly
to carry on our business, but we now
find that a few have not gived thir
renewal the usual attention and con-
sequently in order to meet our obli-
gations, we most send out notices to
ask for a hurried remittance ,of these,
in most cases small accounts,, but
which when there is a goodly number,
amounts to quite a sum. We would
much sooner not send out these re -
.quests, but as our accounts come due
at the end of each month, and must
be pout or legal action -wili be taken.
