In June of 1912, Mr. Geiger, along with. Mr. A. P. Shetler, came to Semans,, and established a general store busin ess name of Shetler & Geiger. This partnership continued until four mon months ago, when Mr. Geiger inoved to Naicam, Sask., where he bought out' the business of Mr. Sinclair. Ev- ery indication pointed to the success of this venture as business was stead- oly improving until the time of his death, which occurred in St. Paul's Hospital, at •Saskatoon, Saturday, May 9, after an illness of several we- eks. Mr. Geiger was married to IVIisa Ida M. Finkbeiner, in 1908, who long with her daughter Ruth, surviv- es. His aged father is living at Zur- ich, Ont., also two brother, Josiah and Rowland, and one sister, Mrs. F; lIorner. A brother, the Rev. Roy Geiger, minister of the United Church at Preston, Ont., and_Mrs. E. G. Mac- Murchy, a sister, Semans, are also left to mourn. The late Mr. Geiger died in his' 49th year, and was a char- ter member of the 'United Church and held office on the Official Board of the local congregation. The deceased was aonember of the LO.O.F. and the L.O.L, being Past District Deputy Grand Master of the former fratern- ity, and also held prominent office in' the L.O.L. He was also a past presi- dent of Semans Curling Club arid was one of its most popular and enthuri iastic members.
