Mr. Gelinas was a hard- working far-
mer in his younger days and delights
in talking about .tilling the soil and
feeding cattle, and remembers very
well when There were no divers coor

to go sporting around in. • During the
sixty years of their wedded life the
couple resided within a mile and a
half of where their home now is.
Twenty-six years ago Mr. Gelinas
bought the .place then known as the
Drysdale Store and farm, and have
lived there since. And it is the wish
of their many friends that this :fine
old, couple will be spared with life
and good health to enjoy many more
years of life together.

W. 31. S.—The regular monthly
meeting of the Womens' Missionary
Society was held at the home of
Mrs. Ross Love on Friday afternoon
February 20th. The program was in
connection with the World's Day of
Prayer with Mrs. (Rev.) Connor as
leader. The meeting opened with a
silent meditation call to Worship by
leader hymn 165. The consecration
of the Witness and the Witnessing
church was then given and silent pra-
yer. Hymn 270 was sung. Prayer
of Thanksgiving was given by Mrs.
J Cochrane. Prayer for Witnessing
Church by Mrs. W. Turner. Hymn
295, Witnessing through the Ages,
was then given. Prayer for a Cruise-
ader of Righteousness by Miss Annie
Jarrott. Prayer for our King, our
Empire, and our Country for Peace
by Mrs. Robt. Stephenson. Hymn 7i
responsive reading. Hymn 390. Wit-
nessing in a new age. Prayer for our
church, Faithfulness, Miesionarys, fol
India and China,` by Mrs. (Rev.) Con-
nor, Prayer for. youth, Mrs. J. Coch-
rane. The business and offering war

meeting closed With prayer.

spent a few days with his parents,Mr

Miss Grace Rhino of the Gosh-
en Line, spent the week -end with
er friend, Miss Helen Anderson.
Misses Annie and Agnes Cochrane
of Clinton are spending a few days
with their sisters on the Parr Line.

Good Roads' Convention in Toronto,

who spent the past two weeks visit-
ing friends here, left for Seaforth
where she will visit for a time.
Mrs. Bella Gordon has been confin-
ed to her home owing to a sprained
ankle, but is improving.
Allan McDonald left for Toronto
last week, where he intends tilting
a course in frying.
Muriel Carlisle left for St. 1 rys
last week, where she has secure a
