Goshen vs Zurich—On Jan. 13
Without the services of their stale
player, L Oesch, the Goshen put up
a game fight, but were finally down,.'
ed after nearly 10 minutes overtime
by the Zurich lads 7-6. It was a
good game with plenty of scoring,
but no team made a runaway of it,.
Both goalies put up a nice game ,as
their defences were not very tight
and allowing the enemy to sweep
right in on the nets. Thegamewlts
not very fast owing to the sticky eon-
dition of the ice, but was well worth
the price of admission. Referees:Lbe
O'Brein, W. Siebert.
Senators vs Maroons --Jan, 15th,.
Anyone who did not attend this game
missed a treat. The Senators siielIac
ed the Maroons 4 to 0. but the score
does not indicate the true natureof
the game. M. Oesch in the Senators
nets was unbeatable. In scoring his
second shutout of the year, i4lilt;
caught, kicked 'and smothered every
attempt to score in a good exhibition.
The game was clean with few penal-
ties. Referee, H. Walker..

a 3-2 score in favor of the Rang-
ers, after sixty minutes of gruelling
and close checking hockey. In the
heat of the contest, Dr. H Cowen
was accidently knocked down strik-
ing his face on the ice and cutting
himself about the mouth. Many of
the boys in town are sporting black
eyes, cuts, bruises, etc, as a result of
the hockey games the past week, Lee
O'Brein, the dashing centre of the
Rangers was in fine form, scoring all
his team's goals. Referee, E. Gascho,
Canadians vs Hawsk--Jan. 17, the
Canadiens defeated the Hawks in a
rather listless game 4 to 2, both
teams lacked the usual "pep” This
win put the Canediens up in the stan-
ding and dropped the Hawks to the
bottom, as they have yet to wina
game.
Zurich vs Hensall—Jan. 17th the
Zurich Flying Dutchmen met the
Hensall Rinky Dinks for the second
time this week, the former winning
with ease 6-1. Once the "dope"
was wrong as the Dutchentn were
::onceded little chance to whip the
Rinky Dinks. 'Che home boys playing
ay far their best game of the season,
There was checking close, shooting
with telling effect and what speed
and stickhandling. Of course the vis-
itors were off form and quite tired
as they played a hard game earlier in
the week. Nap. Bedard was without
a ,doubt the best man' on "the ice. The
kid was fast and triclki and his sho-
oting was deadly, he bulged the twine,
four times. All the Zurich boys play-
ed a good game from start to finish.
