Mr. Fred Parsons of London, sp-
ent the week -end with his parents

The W.M.S. held their quilting bee
in the church on Wednesday, after-
noon last.. Two quilts were quilted
for the bale. After which lunch wee
served.

We notice by the Ontario Milk
Producer that out of a class of over
50 who took the 1030 Dairy short
course at 0. A. C., Guelph, Mr.
Frank McClinchey stands second high
est. He also won two special prizes
and he is to be congratulated oh Ma
creditable standing. He is now
working in the Seaforth creamery
and we wish him success in the dairy
business.

COUNTY NEWS
There was great excitement in the
township of Greenock, Bruce Co., on
Zv'ood Friday, when a arge black bear
was discovered and a number of men
)rgariized a hunt for the animal. It
vas tracked for a considerable time
until finally it was located in a tree,

Three cars figured in a .mixup eii
Exeter Main Street on Sunday- even-
ing. One car was parked, while the
other two were in motion. The Ma-

curred. , The driver refused to show
his permit except to the pollee, and
