Mr. Wilmer Deering of Shakes- peare, was a Sunday visitor with Mr. and Mrs. C. 0. Smith, of St. Joseph. Mr. and Mrs. John Albrecht were at London visiting their daughter, Rose, who is taking treatments at the Ontario Hospital of that city. Miss Elizabeth Leibold, accompan- ied by Mr. Robert Twamley, of Strat- ford, spent the week -end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Leibold, Baby- lon Line. The St. Joseph Fishery has set their pound nets and have already en- joyed a number of fine lifts of real fresh fish, which just suit the taste of all fish lovers. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. I3. Bender, of Detroit, are visiting relatives in the village. They have been at Grand Bend getting their summer cottage in. readiness for the season. Perch fishing at the lake has again become qute popular, and during the cahn, and warm weather the past week, some real nice catches have been made. The concert given in the Town Hall, on Wednesday evening last by the.
