HAY COUNCIL
The regular monthly meeting of
the Council of the Township of Hay
was held in the Town Hall, Zurich, on
Monday, May 5th 1930. All the mem-
bers were present. The minutes of
the previous meeting were adopted
as read. The Council became organ-
ized as a Court of Revision on the
North Branch of the Black Creek
Drain. Only one appeal was consid-
ered.
The appeal of J. M. Richardson.
was disposed of as follows: The as-
sessment on South half Lot 25, con.
5, be struck out and the assessment
on. North half Lot 24, Con. 5 be fixed
at $23.70. And as no other appeals
had been received the Court of Re -1
vision be closed. The Clerk was
then authorized to advertise for ten-
ders, same to be opened on Saturday
May, 17th at 7.30 o'clock, p.m.
The Council then resuthed the ord-
er of regular business and the follow-
ing resolutions were passed.
Thet the plan of Lot 30, L.R.W.
Con., Township of Hay, Gordon Turn
bull, owner, be approved by the Co-
uncil of the Township of Hay and the
Reeve and Clerk be authorized to
sign the same.
- That four pay stations be instal-
led at places to be chosen at Grand
Bend, and that two telephone booths
be purchased from the Bell Teleph-
one Company for use at the said
village.
That the contract of constructing
the West Branch Drain be awarded
to J. Reid at the price of $3995.00
for completion of work. Drain to be
completed on or before October 15th
1930.
That the contract for constructing
the Wildfong Drain be awarded to
Murray & Nicholson at the price of
$3923.50 for completing' the Main
Drain and Branch No. 1, and to Fred
Corbett and George Armstrong for
$750.50 for constructing Branch No.
2. Work to be completed on or be-
fore October, 15th, 1930.
That By-law No. 10-1930, confirm-
ing the appointment of L. Schumach-
er as Weed Inspector be read three
times and finally passed.
That By -Law No. 11-1930 relating
to North Branch Of. Black Creek
Drain la had thirdtime and finally
passed.
That accounts covering payments
on Township Roads, General and Tel-
ephone accounts be passed as follows:

In the Estate of Elias Brenner,
late of the village of Dashwood, in
the County of Huron, Laborer, De-
ceased.
NOTICE is hereby given that alt
creditors and other persons having
claims against the Estate of the said
Elias Brenner, deceased, who died on
the 21st Day of September, 1917,
are required to send full particulars
of such claims duly verified to the
undersigned Executor of the said
Estate on or before the 80th day of
May, 1930. After which date the
Executor will proceed to distribute
the assets of the Estate, having re-
gard only to the claims of which he
then shall have notice.
