a few days last 'week visiting her
son-in-law, Jas. Vincent.

Goderich for a week, visiting the for-
mer's father who was 111,

ghter.
Mrs. T. Simpson, and son Toni, ac-
companied by Miss Polly Moore; left
for Woodrtork, where they will visit
for few weeks. -

a week at her home here.

treal staff, has returned after spend-
ing his holidays with relatives in Tor-

George Petty, senior partner of the.
firm of Petty & Wren, produce deal-
ers, has sold his interests in the bus-
iness to Cecil Harris. Mr, Petty in-
tends taking a rest for a while. •
Another of Hensall's early and
much respected residents passed away`
last Tuesday at the home of his son -
in law, Albert Whitesides, in Goder-
ich, after an illness of some three
weeks, and the immediate cause of
death being pneumonia, in the per-
son of the late Thomas William Parl-
nier, who was born in Nairn, MeGill-
ivray Tp., some 80 .years ago and
who had been a resident of our vil-
'age for about 40 years, and for a
'.ong time being employed in Cook's
!lour Mills. Deceased is survived by
Inc son, Thomas, of Hensall, and two
laughters, Mrs• A. Whitesides of God
:rich, and Mrs. G. Miners, of London

ago, and since that time the deceased
'las made his home with his daughters
He was always a bright and cheerful
disposition and loved by many throu-
ghout the community. In politics, a

Death claimed one of the most

He died at the home of his nephew,
Notch Horton, Hibbert, Tp. where lie
has lived fro the past few years. The
deceased was known throughout the
community for the tine horses he kept
and was considered one of the best
informed men along this line to his
time.
Deilbert Webb, well-known farmer -
residing southeast of Dashwood and
south of Grand Bend, strangled him-
self from a rafter in his barn on Sot-
urday last Friends and relatives of
deceased were shocked of the trans-
action as he had apparently been in
good health and wall a well to do far-
mer of the district No reason can be
given which might have prompted
him to clo the rash ect. The coroner
in charge of this district has decided
that an inquest was not necessary.He
was • a son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Webb
well known residents of Grand Bend
and there_ is also surviving, his wife,
one •daughter and two sons.
