Aulrich of Detroit, spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Prang. Mr. and Mrs. Morley Witmer and little Betty of Detroit, spent Satur- day and Sunday avith friends and re- latives here. Mr. C. Eilber, the local road sup- erintendent, made some very attrec- tive improvements to our streets on Monday, as he was out with the drag, and finished the surface off so nice that it almost seemed a pity to again cut them up with the traffic, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Pfile of Hen- sall, were Sunday visitors in town. We understand they are shortly leav- ing that place, and moving up to the Ayton district, where Mr. Pfile has engaged with a farmer for a year doing so for the betterment of his health. In the main estimates whish were tabled in. the Dominion Parliament the past week, Exeter is down in the estimates for *10,000 a further gr- ant for the new Post Office. Tend- ers are now being called for the in,- terior fittings fat the new building, the tenders to be in by March 13th, the work to be completed lin about two months. In the London dailies of Feb. 24, the announcement appeared of the marriage of John E. McDonell, of Ilensall, to Mrs. Harding, Picaddily Street, London, and ,of their trip to Santa Barbara, California.
