ing the amount of salaries to be paid
to the Reeve and Councillors be
read three times and finally passed.
That by-law No. 5-1930 confirm-
ing the appointment of Road Com-

missioners for 1930 be read three
times and passed.
That By-law No. 6-1930, to pro-
vide for expenditures on Township
Roads for 1930 be read three times
and passed and that copy be forward-
ed to the Department of Public High- ymters at the home of mrs, Braun's,.

Mrs -Wm. Truemner of near Clin-
ton, is spending a few weeks at the
home:nf Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Truemn-
er,. 14th con. Hay.
Merrsr. Stephen Peachey and Wm.
Schrag made a motor trip to Belivilie
Penn. 'last week, and returned 'home
on Monday.
Mr. Leonard Wagner of tree village
left op Thursday of last week, for
Detroit, where be intends to boarder
a boat, and sail the Great Lakes foe
the Summer.
Dr. and Mrs. H. H. Cowen, Miss
Pearl Wurtz, and Mrs. C. Fritz were
week -end visitors with the Doctor's
parents, at Fergus, and Mr. Fritz vis-
ited at Guelph for a few days this
week.!
Mr. and Mrs. Heywood, who spent
the past winter, a mile and a quarter
north'of the village, on Mr. Fred
Haberer's house, hive on Tuesday
moved. to Mr. Glenn's farm, east of
Hensel], where Mr. Heywood has be -
engaged for a year. The many fri-
ends of the Heywood family regret
very,tract to see them leaving the
victrottY: and .wi$11.-thern- prosperity.
Mr. Fred Siemon of the Blue Wat-
er High, way, south of St. Joseph,
met with a very painful accident the
other day while engaged in cutting
down a tree in Walker's Grove, at
Grand Bend, in some way a large
limb rebounded and hit Mr. Siemon
on the arm, fracturing the same near
the wrist, but the patient is progres-

Varna, were Sunday visitors at the
home of Mr. Wm. Lamont.

That the By-law relating to the
West Bi'anch Swamp Drain be read
twice and provisionally adopted and
that a Court of Revision to consider
appeals be held on Wednesday, April
2nd, 19v0, at 2.30 o'clock, p.m., in
the Town Hall, Zurich.
That the Report, Plans, etc., of L.
Roger, O.L.S., relating to the North
Branch of Black Creek be received
and that all persons interested be
notified that same will be read and
considered on Monday, April 7th, at
three o'clock p.m., in Town Hall,
Zurich.

dwelling, attached to his butcher
shop, are moving their effects into

Suhday evening, Dr. H. H. Cowen,of
the village became quite ill with a
severe attack at.' appendicitis, and af-

tised a room adjoining his place of

No doubt this act of kindness towards
the organization was prompted by- a
longing for the "Good Old Days."
The offer if extended indefinitely,
should set the,nrembers .of the organ-
ization to "Take' Possession" and to
show their appreciation by a rising
vote of thanks: And furthermore, in-
stead of occupying ' it as a "Rest
Room" the offer should spur the
members ow to new signs of' life.

The funeral of teh late Thomas
Murdock was held on Monday from
his home at lienSall to the Hensall
Union Cemetery. The Service being
conducted by Rev. A. Sinclair, of the
United Church, of which deceased
was a very active member. Mr. Mur-
dock had been associated with the
business life of Heinsall for over 50
years, and was beloved by all who
knew him. Corning to Hensall from
Luean and engaged in the livery bus-
iness. In politits he was a conserv-
