The Royal Air Farce of Britian
has successfully tested a new Fairey
Rolls-Royce fighting aeroplane, which-
is
hichis stated to be capable of flying a
speed of more than 200 miles an
hour, with full military load. The.
plane has been successfully landed
and taken off from the decks of bat-
tleships.
Auto operator's permits and chauf
fer's licenses cannot be renewed for
1930 on the strength of a 1928 card
or that of any other year previous to
1929. As instructions had been re-
ceived from the Department of High-
ways not to issue and renewals ex-
cept to 1929 cars. It had formerly
been possible to obtain such a licen-
se by presenting forms that were two
years old.
