John England Passes
John England, son of Adam and
Martha Weber England was born
Jam. 4,, 1362 in Hay Township, and
died in St. Joseph's Hospital, London
on December 5, 1929, aged 67 years
11 months and 1 day. About 5 we-
eks ago the departed began ailing
and three weeks ago on Nev:. 15, his
suffering had' become very painful
and it was decided that he should go
to the hospital' where we all hoped
he would find relief and' restoration,
but it was not to be so, and although
his leg was amputated for an infetc-
ion of gangerine, yet his physical
condition gave out: He was twice
married, first to Rebecca Schrader in
1892, alto predeceased him on Ma:}
18c13: He was united in marriage to
Caroline Miler on Sept. 16, 1896
and together they lived in happy ac-
cord for. 33 years on the England
homestead on the Goshen Line, Near-
ly three, years ago they left the farm
and cerce to Zurick. Early in life he
became 'a member of the Evangelical
church. He was an industrious and
thrifty- fanner, an honest toiler, a
good neighbor, an honorable citizen,
a devoted husband, a good foster
father to the two boys who grew up
in this home.. 'Those surviving the
late Mr. England are: His companion
one brother, Henry of Dashwood;
three sisters, Mrs. Jacob Link, Mrs,
Daniel Faust and Miss Mary England
al of Dashwood, and many other near
friends' and relatives, who mourn
his all too early departure. The
funeral which was held on Sunday
afternoon was indeed largely atten-
ded, a Memorial service was held at
the Evangelical church,. Rev. W. Y
Dreier in charge, assisted by heel,
