Though only twenty-eighth in pop-
ulation among the countries of the
world, Canada is fist in per capita
trade balance, second in per capita
exports, third in absolute trade bal-
ance and fifth in total exports. In
six years Canada's export trade has
grown from $754,000,000 to $1,349,-
000,000.
The Evangelical League meet on
Friday evening for their regular me-
eting. The Stewardship and Missions
committee, Mrs. Lee Roy O'Brein,
conveneer had. charge of the opening
of the meeting. The monthly busin-
ess was then transacted by the presi-
dent, Miss Ida Routledge. The re-
minder of the meeting was spent in
a social way. This meeting was gre-
atly enjoyed by all present. Don't
forget the lecture given by Rev. A.
Clemens of Centennial Evangelical
Church, Stratford, on Thursday even-
ing, November 7th.

mer, it is of interest to learn that
precipitation for the five months,
March, to July, inclusive, was 18.13
or 4.91 inches above the average. The
rainfall in March April and May con-
siderably exceed that of the same
months of 1928. It fell off badly in
June, however, and the July rainfall
though above average, did not com-
pare with. that of 1928. 'The figures
for August and September are not
given, but it will occasion no surprise
to learn that they likewise slumped.
