THE NEW LST rok, ILO MORE THAN' EVER ... A EINE SET title, Mich., and brother to Messrs Andrew F. and George Hess of Zur- ich, are spending a few days with their relatives in this vicinity. Mr. Hess is one of the 111211y Zurich Old Boys who has made well in the in - lustrous city of Detroit, and while at present yet a young man, is so com- fortably situated that he is in retire- ment. zukrcH FALL FAIR The ideal fine weather on Tuesday marked one of the best and most successful in the history of the Zur- ich Agricultural society, not alone as fine weather, but with a record atten- dance, and a keen competition with the very choicest of exhibits. There were more autos .on the grounds hap. we think at any other time. The ;nside departments were , well filled, in factthere was little more space a - ;linable for any more exhibits, and the musical numbers that were contr- ibuted by the various exhibitors was indeed an inspiration and made things lively• an. Ross, the judge of the live stock advised us that Zurich fair had the finest display and best ex- hibits of shorthorn and grade cattle and sheep of any fair that he had visited this fall. And Mr. Darroch, the Judge for horses stated that the Zurich fair this year contained the finest display of horses that he has seen at a local fah in five years. So 1029 fair will likely go down in history as one of the best ever. The home raees were a big attraction as they' had to keep racing till attor five (Meek before the winners could be decided on. A new track record was set for the trich track, and this Will E1180 be .oneof the outstanding happenings of the fair. Space will not perient, us this week to publish all the Prize winners, only the Iiv' stock will appear, and next weel ore I will conclude with -the inside Ablaut - I rients t .
