Civic holiday on Monday passed
off very quiet in the village as there
were no special attractions to speak
of. A goodly number of the villag-
ers attended the big races at Goder-
ichr while others enjoyed themselves
at the lakeside, and we also note that
a happy picnic party leisurely spent
the day at that enant old place of
Bentniller' Falls. •
The :first game in the playoff of.the
local soft ball teams of town, was held
on Thursday evening last, with a
large attendance of erthusiastic spec,

much to the surprise of the gathering
