STEPHEN COUNCIL.
The Council of the Township of
Stephen, convened in the Town Hall,
Crediton, on July 2nd, at 1 p.m..cA1l
members were present with the ex-
ception of Deputy -Reeve, William
Sweitzer. Minutes of the X3OUlt of
Revision and previous meetings gs (re-
gular and special) • were reaii eyed .ad-
opted.
The Council organized itself as 'a.
Court of Revision. in reference to the
Mud Creek and Rgan Drains. The
Clerk informed the Court that •there
were no appeals and therefore no'bus
Mess before the Court.
The Council then convened for gen-
eral business.

ness trip to London on Friday.

Mr. Allan Esler and two sons of
Halliday, Alb., are visiting at the
home of Mr. Wm. Lamont, and other
friends around here.
Rev. Father Stroeder, of Maidstone
and the former pastor of the Zurich
parish, called on Father Power, on
Monday of this week.
Mr. and . Mrs.' Chas. Weber,' Mr.
and Mrs- Peter Haberer, were visitors
with friends in Michigan, the past
week,
Mr. Alex. Foster, local cement con-
tractor, had the misfortune to fract-
ure his cerin on Tuesday last while
working at a gasoline engine.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Greb and Miss
Carrie Brenner of Kitchener, were
visitors at' the home of Mr. and Mrs.
John Brenner on Monday.
Mrs. Harry Wahl and daughter of
Kitchener, spent the week -end at the
home of her parents, Mr, and Mrs.
John Brenner.
Mr. and Mrs. Schlueter of Detroit,

Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Bechald,
Mrs. J. Platz, Miss Lyola Platz and
Mr. Raymond Plate all of Detroit,
were visitors at the home of Dr. and
Mrs. A. 3. MacKinnon during the past
week.
Last Wednesday evening there was
considerable excitement in town whea
in front of Mousseau's Garage two
cars collided in a bad smashup. A
large Chrysler seday from Heiisall,
was returning home, going east from
Grand Bund, and three young men
of the village, were travelling west,
and in making preparation to turn

probably a little farther than anticip-

hand side, with the result that the
