Progressive _Convention
A meeting of the Progressive easive P
arty
of South Huron was 'held in the Town
Hall, Hensel]. on June With, when
there was a. fair attendance; and also
a fair representation from the differ-
ent parts of the riding. Shortly aft-
er convention,, Wm. Black, ex-M.P.,
of Tuckersnaith Tp.,was elected as
chairman of the meciing and after a
short and interesting e.ddrews, he cal-
led upon Mr. Lethbridge, the :Leader
of the Progressives Party, in the loc-
al House, to give an address which
lasted over an hour, and very ably
dealt with public affairs. He was fol-
lowed by M. G. W. Medd, 1VI.P.P'., of
Exeter, who gave <i' very interesting
address, in which he reviewed many
matters of publie affairs and urged

large majority for Mr. Medd, which
was afterwards made unanimous..

dollar American bill stolen from his

he was unable to find- any proof of
the invader.

scholarship for a county boy attend-
ing the Ontario Agricultural College
This amount will be supplemented by
a similar sum for the Massey Fund at
