Mrs. Lee is staying over for a week.
Mr. Alex. Challett, of Drysdale re-
ceived word the other da57 of the
death of his youngest brother, Louis
Challett, which took place suddenly
at Windsor where he resided.
Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Heist of Detroit
spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Oscar F. Klopp. Miss Edith
Klopp returned with them where she
intends to stay for several weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Smith and dau-
ghter Mae spent a few days over'thr;
week -end at New Hamburg and Tav-
istock, also attending the Canada 'Con
ference at Tavistock.
Mrr. Fred C. Kalbfleisch has ex-
changed his Pontiac sedan for a new
1929 model of the same make of car,
with Mr. G. Koehler, local Pontiac
dealer.
Mr. and Mrrs. Thos. Meyers and
family, Mr. Chas. Meyers, and Miss
G. Clark were at London on Sunday
to visit Mr. Earnie Meyers at the
Byron institution,
Mr. Sandy Elliot, the popular Ford
dealerC of Exeter, called in the vil-
lage on Wednesday, and advises us
that prospects look very bright for a
real large season's business, with this
popular little car.

ending Wednesday at London, and
are visiting Mr. John 'E+u;;a who rec-
ently underwent a serious operation
in St. Joseph's Hospital of that city.

progressing as favorably as can be
expected.

greatly improved the condition of our
streets by giving them a good grading
up, in readiness for a good coat of
gravel, which will be put where it is
needed the most,
The clean-up season is again here,
and we notice that a large'number of
citizens have already fallen in line
and have cleaned up around their bu-
ildings, and it sure makes an iinpro
vetncnt, Others should fall in line
and snake our little burg one of the
tidiest looking in the county. Make
the "`clean-up" spirit a slogan in
your daily work and, soon we will all
reach our objective of- having things
just right.

PETER'S
the late Mrs. Lydia Groff, whose death
occured at Baden, on Wednesday,
April 17th at the age of 53 years, 10
months and 5 days. Besides her par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. John S. Wilhelm
of near Phillipsburg she leaves a
grown up family and three brothers,
and four sisters. The funeral was
held on Friday at the home and with
services in St. Agatha A. M. Church
followed by interment in the Schantz
cemetery.
Our mailing list has been corrected
up to April 23rd, and if you have
renewed or paid on your subscription
and have not been given credit on
your label, kindly let us know and
we will gladly make the adjustment.
During the past month of so we were
obliged to send out a number of ac-
