Mr. Harry Raters of New Ham-
burg was a week -end visitor at the
home of his son, Mr. Garnet Daters
of Hay Township, also taking in the
anniversary of the Lutheran church.
Huron County Council began its
December, and last meeting for this
year, on Tuesday afternoon, when
the year's activities will be wound up
and a neww counci wil be organized
again in January.
Messrs . Harold Meininger and
Thomas Gettus from Detroit, spent a
few days of the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Henry F. Weseloh. Mrs.' Get-
tus returning with them after spend-
ing a pleasant vacation with her par-
ents.
The W. M. S. and Aid Society of
the Evangelical Church, Zurich, will
hold their annual meeting on Thurs-
day afternoon at 2 o'clock, in the S.
S. Assembly Room of the church,
when annual reports will be received
and the election of officers will take
place. It is needless to say that ev-
ery member will Want tq be present
on time,
The Chrismas season will again be
with us shortly, as by looking on the
calander we notice there are only 20
more days till this happy event will
be in our midst, and we trust this
will be the happiest we have ever had
The merchants of the village are pre-
paring with undoubtedly the finest

On Monday, December 3rd the
Bank of Montreal, with head office
at Montreal, celebrated "its annual
meeting, and we have the assurance
that a splendid showing is again be-
ing made of the year's activities.
