R -au --Durand A very pretty wedding was solem- nized at St. Peter's church at 9.30, High Mass, Thanksgiving Day, when Father Gerard officiated, tv h ease Marie Pearl, eldest daughter of Mr. Louis and the late Mrs. Durand, was united in marriage to Mr. Claude Rau of Detroit, son of Mr, and Mrs,. Henry Rau of this place. The bride entering the church to the strains of the wedding, march. sup- ported by her father, looked charm- ing in her gown of white satin cri:pe and chantilly lace and touched with silver trimmings. Her veil '.vas tulle and held in place with orange blocs-- oms and silver slippers to match, car- rying a sheaf of white roses and sil- ver, with silver streamers, and wore a crystal necklace. Miss Blanche Rau of Detroit, and sister of the groom, was a very pretty bridesmaid in her pink and silver frock, with hat to match and silver slippers. Her flowers were pink with pink and sil- ver streamers. Mr. Richard Denome of Detroit, was a handsome groom's - man and ably played part. After the ceremony all invited guests gatherer - at the groom's home where a very sumptuous dinner was served, While a bounteous supper was enjoyed at. the bride's Moine where they spent the evening in dancing.
