Rabethge of '. Ex- eter, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs Henry Hoffman. Mrs. George Stire underwent an operation in Clinton Hospital on Mon day, we hope for a speedy recovery. Quite a number from here attend- ed the fowl supper at Grand Bend on Monday night. STANLEY TOWNSHIP A pretty event in Goderich Town- ship, at high noon on Saturday, Oct. 27th, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Har- old Graham of Goderich Tp., was the pretty autumn wedding of the Tat- ter's sister, Clara ,Eunice Reid, dau- ghter of Mr. Jas. Reid and the late Mrs. Reid, of Stanley Tp., and Mr. Wilber Ewart Keys, son of Mr. and Mrs Nelson Keys, also. of Stanley, Rev. J. W. Penrose, pastor of Varna United church officiated. The bridal party took their places beneath a beautiful decorated arch of Autumn foliage and palm leaves. The bride looked charming in a gown of im- ported rose biege georgette, hand em broidered in contrasting._ shades, and carried a bouquet of pink Briarclif roses Miss Annie Durnin of Luck- now, cousin of the bride, dressed in powder blue georgette and carrying a bouquet of pink carnations, acted as bridesmaid. The groom was as- sisted by his brother, Mr. Stewart Keys. • Immediately after the cerem- noy Miss Reta Rowe, of Exeter sang in splendid voice "I Love You Truly' and during the signing of the regis- ter rendered "Because". Lohengrin's wedding March was played by 'Mrs. Wendorf of .Clinton, who played • sof- tly throughout the ceremony and also accompanied the soloist. Later • the guests, numbering• about seventy, re- tired to the dining room where the wedding dinner was served by four cousins of the bride; Misses Grace Coleman, Grace Blake, Clara Ritchie and Laura Webster. The toast to the health of the bride was proposed by Rev. Mr. Penrose and responded to by the groom. The groom's gift to the bride was a silver tea set, t•; the bridesmaid, a brooch, to the s&'.dist fancy candles, 'to the pianist crt glass vases, and to the groom'sntan. cuff links. Amidst a shower of con- fetti and good wishes Mr. and Mrs. Keys left by motor for a honeymoon in Toronto and eastern Ontario. The bride's travelling costume was a dress of French georgette, trimmed with printed tranparent velvet, and coat of navy French breadcloth, trimmed with Scotch mole, with hat, shoes and hose to match. After their re- turn they will reside in Stanley, town ship. Guests were present from Goderich, Lucknow, Blyth, Exeter, Parkhill, London, Ford City and Chic ago.
