STEPHEN COUNCIL The Council of the Township of Stephen met in the Town Hall, Cred- iton, on Monday, October 1st at 1 p. with all members present. The minutes of the previous meeting we- re read and adopted. A certificate was read from George A. McCubbin, Cival Engineer, stating that George Eilber, had completed the excavation of the Centralia Drain in accordance with his report and specifications. HoweVer,,regardless of the oc- casional downpour of rain and hail at times, there was an attendance of ap- proximately. 950 People present, who all partook of the wonderful repast that was so amply prepared for by the good people of the congregation. The proceeds of the event amounted to consider- able over $800.00.
