M 1, D141h1 Zurich [Fa Faii Zurich .Fair day on Tuesday start- ed off with one of those dreary and cold looking autumn days that are always so unwelcome, and while the air was almost unseasonable cold, it could not help but make One say that this is anything but "Fair Wea- ther" and it most certainly proved thus, as the sun was out only a few minutes all forenoon, and then lust when the crowd had gathered and we were all hoping for a clearing up down came the raid accompanied by snow, which later developen into , al- most a'reaI hail storm, and very soon scattered all hopes of holding the horse races and other speed contests. There was a good representation.. of race horses present, and if the wea- ther man would have been more''fav- oralle, a good race would likely have been held. Owing to the unfavor- able and unpromising looking weath- er, the usual large attendance was not present, and the elements took all the snap and charm out of the (law's sport. and sothe 1928 Zurich Fall Fair will go down in history as one with at times the grownd cov- ered with snow. The inside exhibits were all that could be looked for, es- pecially in the Ladies Department, which was a little better than the average. Some very fine business exhibits were shown, and those suffi- ciently interested to make such an exhibit, are to be congratulated in helping the fair along in this way. The "Almost Living" Jersey Cow exhibited by Messrs O'Brein & Son, in behalf of Silverwoods Ltd., Lon- don, commanded a great deal of attention and interest, and the dis- plays of W. G. Hess & Sons, as well as that of J. Gascho & Son also are well worthy of mention., and so we pass another milestone in the history of the Society.
