On Sunday evening, August 19th, Miss Alberta Finlay gave • a farewell party on the Beach at Bayfield in honor of her friend Mr. Ed. Brown prior to his departure for Toronto. Mr. Ed. Beaver, who has been em- ployed in the Hess' Carriage. Works for some timehas severed his con - motions with that firm and has now taken a position in the local grist mill, which vacancy was caused by Mr. Dan. Staubus going to London, where he has secured a good position as second miller in a large mill. Mr. and Mrs. Payne and Mr. and Mrs. Darling, of Durand, Mich.; Mrs. Rupert of Marion, Mich., Mr. Jno. Wagner and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Simpson of Guelph; Mr. Frank Bos- senberry and son Glen and Mr. Suber of Kitchener, were recent vis- itors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Win. C. Wagner. Don't forget the Flower Show on Saturday in Zurich being put on by the local Horticultural . Society. This is the second annual event of it's kind and should prove a hugh success as it was last year.
