Judge Lewis was in town the oth- er th-er morning holding court on the ap- peal of Alex, Smith, against the as- sessment of thel property of Owen Geiger. Mr. Smith appealed to the Judge that the assment of $1200 was far too low, that the 'assessment on his dwelling of $3,000 was far too low on a building that cost $10,000 or over.
