music and song by the, local choir
and others. The ladies of the con-
gregation provided delicious meals
in the basement of the church, this
arrangement brought friends and
visitors together in a social way. For
the enjoyment of the strangers in.
the community a trip to Grand Bend'
was provided and a short program
of sports on Eccleson's ball diamond
was engaged in to the delight of the
players and spectators.

Mildmay, renewed Zurich friends the
past week.
-Miss Ada O'Dell returned to her
home in Blyth, 'after spending two
weeks with her cousin, Mrs. John
Douglas of the Town Line.

built, as the foundation had given
away, and the wall was not safe.

Bass fishing at Kettle Point has
become quite a popular sport among
the villagers, and some very fine cat-
ches have recently been made, while
Senile .have went without any 'Success.
Mr, Theo. Rader, of the Goshen
Line South, has treated his family to
a new Pontiac sedan, having made
the purchase from Mr. G. Koehler,
local agent. '
We congratulate Miss Euloine
R. Geiger.of Zurich and who has be-
en attending Normal School at Lon-
don, at having passed and received
her First -Class Certificate.
Mrs. W. Schade and son Ervin,
and daughter Melvina, of the Blue
Water Highway, Mr. and Mrs. C.
Truemner motored to Milverton on
Monday, to spend a few days with
friends and relatives in that place.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Finkbeiner and
daughter MissHazel of Stratford, ac-
companied by Mrs. W. H. Hoffman,
from Zurich, returned on Monday
evening from a pleasant motor tour
to various points in Michigan.
Mr. and Mrs. John Semon, and
daughter Kathleen, Mr."Gotear. and
son, Mr. and Mrs. J. Thompson all of
Kitchener, Mr. and Mrs. H. Witmer
and family of Waterloo, were Sun-
day visitors at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Hugh. Thiel.
We are pleased to report that Mr.
'Emanuel Reichert, who is confined at
London Hospital, as a result of the
accident' he was in on Saturday ev-
ening last when he was being struck
by an auto . driven by Mr. Ervin
Schilbe, '(not Milford Schilbe) as
stated last week; Mr. Reichert is mak
ing progress slowly, and his many
Zurich friends wish him a speedy re-
covery.
A great many complaints have re-
cently been made regarding the care
less motorist, especially on the Blue
Water Highway, where all kinds e
"close shaving" and "cutting in" and
what not is being pulled off almost
daily, it will take quite •a police
force to keep things in shape and, a
number of prosecutions will have to
be made in order to make it: a saff.t
place to travel thereon.
