Sale started June 16th and ends July 7 We have Bargains for Everybody YELLOW FRONT STORE PHONE NO. 145 ITEMS OF LOCAL INTEREST Mr. Gideon Koehler, was at Osha- wa the past week and returned with a new Pontiac car. Mrs. M. E. Neil of Detroit, spent the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. .A. M.4iek. A number of baseball fans were at London. on Wednesday' last and at- tended the baseball game between London and Galt, the latter winning by a small margin. Real nice and warm weather has greeted us the past weew, and with the anion -Ant of moisture available, things are limping wonderful growth and coming along nicely. We not- ice considerable more warm weather this. June than last year, and it' will make the glorious summer season all the longer. The new g er. ge is making fine progress in getting into shape to serve the public, and have their gas fillers in shape as well as some other modern equipment. In order to cel- ebrate their opening days on Friday and Saturday .of this week, they will give to every purchaser of five gal - long and over of gasoline, ,a half dozen water glasses absolutely free. The large Talbott Drain which has recently begun in from the west end of town is now completed and will provide adequate outlet for a long timtime. A number of sink holes to take care of the surface water have also been put in, and athough it involves considerable expenditure, it will prove itself worthy of the money thus spent. If in need of new furniture, forget; we have it! T don't E & WEID zUFiH ONT. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Fee of Hensel were Sunday visitors in the village. The local fire truck was called to the home o -f Mr. Chester Salmon on Monday noon,as the house had become on fire caused from the re- sult of the explosion of an oil can, and the fatality of little Morley, whose obituary appears in these col- umns. The fire however, had been put out by a few pails of water and the damage to the house and contents was not so large. The large concrete water supply tank in the village has undergone re- pairs the past week, as there were a few places wh<,-•e It leaked badly as a result of keeping water in all win -1 ter last. We think a large ;;i ,.1, measure tank put underground, wo- uld stand the weather and elements much better, especially in the cold tivintei end if a number of ul:d+)1Th $tie. r4e r4,were hooked up it would also bk. an advantage.
