South Sea Captain's Log Tells
of Finding Father and

Sea Tiger
A Honolulu newspaper reports that
a veteran of the Pacific Ocean, Cap-
tain Clinton Jones, now living near
the Hawaiian capital, is preparing
his log books for publication. These
cover more than half a century of ad-
venture, in the Central and Southern
Pacific. In negotiating with publish-
ers the ancient mariner has sent therm
samples of 'fits sea diaries. A frag-
ment that has reached us reads as
follows:
"Here isea half-hitch from the logo
of the bark Neptune of which I was
master in 1877. This records the
strange story of the shark, the man,
the grindstone and the child.
"The Neptune was bound from San-
tiago to Boston, touching at Cien-
fuegos. Senor Ricardo Iglesis and his
two children were aboard as passen-
gers.
"One morning we were hauling
around Cape Cruz when one of the
Don's children fell overboard. The
ship was making six knots at the
time. We tacked ship, leaving the
foreyard aback the ship's head. There
was much excitement and everybody
threw life preservers or any gear they
could get their hands on overboard.
"The German carpenter even threw
his grindstone over in the excitement.
It took about twenty minutes to get a
boat out, but all that was rescued
was some of the gear that had been
thrown out. The child and the grind-
stone were not recovered.
"After about forty-five minutes the
boat returned to the ship. The Don
was greatly excited and the little
boy's sister was in tears Breakfast
was prepared and we had hardily seat-
ed ourselves when there came a cry
of 'Man overboard!' It developed that

A mother has only to use Baby's

banishing the ills of het little ones.
Once used, always need, as long as
there are small children in the home
—that is the tribute thousands of

Among the many, many mothers
who are anxious to tell of their ex-
perience with Baby's Own Tablets is
Mrs. Griffith, of East Hamilton, Ont„
who writes:—"Shortly after coming
to Canada I began giving the Tablets
to my baby boy who was then six
weeks old. The result was so pleas-
ing that since that time I have always
kept the Tablets in the house. I have
two children now and both of them
are the picture of health. Baby's Own
Tablets are the only medicine they
have ever had and I really believe the
Tablets to be worth their weight in
