Mr. Pfaff was born in Hay Township in 1860 and in 1890 iwas married to Mary Ellen Schwalm also of Hay Tb'c reship. He conducted a meat market at Dashwood for a number of years, moving to a farm on the South Boundary of Hay in t1900. He was a member pf the Evangelic- al church 'for 30 years and for a .number of years he took an active part lin the Sunday School.
