of the expenditures in 1927 on the
Huron Road between Goderichand
Clinton was submitted showing $47
638.50 for construction.:, and $1,761.36
for maintenance as the 20 percent
of total cost payable by the co-
unty,. The • total expenditure on
the road in 1927 was ,$238,192.49. for
construction and .$8,806.79 •for
maintenance. The expenditure on
construction of Huron Road pave-
ment for 1926, together wi,th in-
terest, amounted to $31,726.10, as the
county's 20 • per cent,,. making , a
total debt byt he county to the
Province of $81,125.96. , ;.
SEED CLEANING TRAIN,
A seed -cleaning demonstration
train is being sent out by the
Ontario Government this month
and next which will visit at var-
ious points in this district at the
places and dates as follows—Thed-
ford, Tues. Feb. 21st; AilsaCraig
Wed. Feb. 22; Mitchell, Sat. Feb.
25; Seaforth, Feb. 27th; Clinton,
.Tuesday Feb. 28; Exeter, Wed.
Feb, 29; Hensall, Thursday, Mar.
1st; Blyth, Wed. Apr. 11; Goder-
ich, Thurs. April 12. Seed cl-
eaning machines .will be in oper-
ation daily on these trains andthe
use of proper screens will be de-
monstrated by qualified men, and
a small 'portion of grain will be
cleaned and graded at c_tc:l o" the
points designated, Lectures will ba
given at half past two• each day
on diseases of different farm crops,
insect pests, destruction of weeds
etc. Information will be given as
to sources of pure seed grain. Ev-
ery farmer should avail himself to
attend.
MRS. GREB PASSES.
There passed away at the home
of her daughter, Mrs. Racey, at
Kitchener, on February 5th, Mary
Galiman, relict of the late Henry
Greb, aged 89 years, 2 months and
14 days, having been quite ill for
for about three months with gan-
garine. Deceased was born at
Preston, Ont., and canoe to Zurich
when 16 years of age and was a
lifelong resident of this village
Her husbant? 1 edeceased cher a
bout by twenty years, to this

daughters were born. The late
Mrs. Grab is being survived by
four sone; ••Chas. Greb, ,Kitchener,

ters, Mrs. Brenner of Zurich, Mrs.
Racey of Kitchener, Mrs, Schneiker
of Milverton and Mrs. Steblzles of
