Gain New Vitality by Building
Up the Blood.
There are nianY .'women who pass
their days in a constant state of weak
toess, They have barely sufficient
energy to enable thein to perform
their manifold duties. Often they
have an aching head, .a miserable pain
in the back, and limbs that feel as
heavy as lead. The whole trouble is
duo to bloodlessness. No woman need
suffer in this way. It is easy to ob-
tain a supply of rich red blood by tak-
ing Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, The new
blood created by these pills rapidly
builds up the system; headaches and
backaches disappear, energy returns
and the joy of e living is felt oncmore.'
Proof of these,,statements is given
by. Mrs. Ed. Lahore; Stoney Point,
Ont., who says:—"For a long time I

tion, always feeling tired out, sleepy

Crop Records Made and Broken
The grain crop 'for the past year was remarkable in many respects,
practically every province equalled or exceeded the harvest 'of previous sea-

On Duty
'The great world's heart is aching, ach-

And God alone can heal it, and God

And the• men• to bear that message,
and to speak the living word,
Are you and I, my brothers, and the

Can we close our eyes to duty? Can

Can we• shlltup our compassions? Can

We gravel among trifles and our

While aboye us burns the vision of
the Christ upon the Cross;
And the blood of God Is streaming

And the lip's of God are saying, `Tell

Forest Conservation
Ottawa Journal (Cone.): Our spruce
forests are rapidly diminishing, with
a sure result that at some time in
the future, perhaps not very far dis-
tant, our Canadian paper mills will
find' a scarcity of raw material, their
production and value will 'decrease
and the price of paper will soar. An
argument has long gone on for .fur-
ther restriction o[ the export of
spruce. Some restriction exists now,
Restriction is opposed by the conten-
tion that it will be an injustice to
Canadian• fanners who have spruce to
sell. But it leeks as though the In-

There Is one case in which the pub-
lie is beginning to believe that some
of the substitutes offered to pur-
chaseds may be "just as good as the
real thing" --or a good deal better.
That is in the buying of wars.
Why do so many, many babies of to-
day escape all the little fretful spells
and infantile ailments that used to
worry mothers through the day, and
keep them uphalf the night?
If you don't know the answer, you
haven't discovered pure, harmless
Castoria. It is sweet to the taste, and
sweet in the little stomach. And its
gentle influence seems felt all through
the tiny system. Not even a distaste-
ful dose of castor oil does so much
good.
Fletcher's Castoria is purely vege-
table, so you may give it freely, at
1iret sign of colic; or constipation; or
diarrhea. Or those many tines when
you just don't know what is tho mat-
ter. For real sickness, call the doctor,

of Fletcher's Castoria.
The doctor often tells you to do just
that; and always says Fletcher's.
