The effect of the.new hog grad-
ing law as it now stands its to pro•
gide that all farmers' lots of hogs
offered for grading andsale at.
country points, shall be graded
locally by the drover or shipper,
and settlement made to the farmer
on the basis of official ,grades, or
in lieu thereof ,the drover orship

identity on each farmer's lot of
hogs in every car lot, truck load.

Municipal Telephone System was
held in the Town Hall last Satur-
day' afternoon. The financial st-
atement showed that the System
was in a healthy condition, with
a balance on hand of .$1708. A
resolution was adopted recom-

arranged for over the System, The

the present time is three • hours

MRS. LEi10 KIPPER PASSES
After an illness extending for
'.some month of Dropsy, there
passed away at her home in Zur-
ich ;onMonday, January 30th,
Veronica Hartman, beloved wift of
Mr, Leno Kipper, aged 69 Fears
2 months and 11 days. Deceased
was well and favorably known in
(these parts, having been born in
Zurich, and all but a few years,
when they lived in Biggar, Sask.,.

ship. Besides her sorrowing hus-
band she is survived by two sons,
Joseph 'Lipper of Biggar, Sask'r,

ried. She is a sister to Mr. John

sisters living, Mrs. Con. Thiel of
Ttitcliener and Mee'D. Bennet, fat
