A pretty wedding took place at

Dr. J. B. Stanley, prominent in

thy finless. He was 56 years of
age and was serving his isecond

Centralia creamery won two
first prizes in butter exhibLs at
the Royal Winter Fair, and Mr.
McCabe, the buttermaker is tolie

November 'he scored 97.5 and 07.3
and in (addition he recently won
the grading .comp:.t't'on on butter
for the Cream+erymen's compet.tion
for Western Ontario, scoring 99
out of 100. He was awarded
shield and a prize of $15.

At the trial of Alfred Paul, of
St. Marys, before Judge Lewis on
November 16th, when he pleaded
guilty to the charge of stealingsix
head of cattle in the Tp. of Us -
borne, his counsel, R. S. Hays of
Seaforth, presented petitions for
leniency signed by many prominent
ween of St. Marys and Exeter and
the townships of Usborne and
Blanshard, where the accused is
well known and has hitherto borne
an e,xc,11ent reputation.. Mr.
Fred Ellerin'gton, of Exeter, the
teener of the cattle in question,
was among those who joined in t
the plea for clemency. The Judge
gave his decision as one year in
the reformatory, with an addition-
al year, less a day, \if desired.
