attended the annual meeting of the
Fire 'Insurance Company in Zurich
on Tuesday.
On Tuesday evening of last week
Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Stephenson
entertained a sleigh -load of friends
from. Parr line, a very enjoyable
evening was spent.
On Thursday last Mr. and Mrs.
Geo. Kennedy entertained a num-
ber of their friends at an invited
dinner party, prior to the departure
of their daughter Mrs. Eicher.
Messrs. W. and J. Agnew who
have been cutting wood for Mr. H.
Hayter have quit the job and gone
to work in a saw -mill.
The members and adherents of
Goshen Methodist Church showed
their respect and good -will for their
pastor, Rev. J. W. Andrews in a
very practicle way. On Friday
evening last they agreeably silt -
prised him by presenting him with
a good big loadof oats. The young
folks of the appointment invented
the parsonage and a, very pleasant
evening was spent by all. Mr.
Andrews in a few well chosen words
thanked the people for their kind-
ness.
