to his home owing to illness,
Miss Tillie Kibler left for her
home at Brampton on Thursday.
Mr. Alexander Bossenberry was
in town a few days ago for a visit. -
Miss Nettie Well has returned.
from Rodney for a visit with her
parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stelek leave
to -day for their home in Dauphin
Manitoba.
Mrs. J. Preeter left on Thursday
morning for a few weeks' visit with
friends in Berlin.
Miss Lydia Faust intends leaving
for Michigan on Saturday for an
extended visit with, friends.

That Detroit widow who is re-
ported to have married a spirit
husband will find very little comfort

Mr. Justus Melick has given his
farm over to his son Alfred and
expects to retire from. active farm
life. If Mr. Meliek decides to retire
we would suggest that he take up
his residence in our town.
Mr. John Fuss has disposed of
his dwelling to Mrs. Sehilbe for

last. They are also visiting friends

Mr, and Mrs. H. Magel are visit-
ing their friends down East. They
left Thursday and intend going to
Tavistock, Berlin, Hamburg and
other places.
Miss Clara Klapp was unable to
get into either of the Normal
schools, at London or Toronto on
account of the crowded condition
of the schools.

by Rev. C. S. Finkheiner of Zurich.

bride looked charming in ta. gown of
white organdie. and silk veil and
carried a bouquet of white earn.

and looked very pretty in a white
organdie dress. Mr. Samuel Faust
ably supported the groom. The
bride was given away by her father.
The ceremony was performed at
5.15 o'clock, and was 'witnessed by
over a hundred relatives and friends
of the contracting parties. Those'
present from a distance were Mr.
and Mrs. George Holtzman of
Crediton ; Mr. Peter Beaver and
Mies Lydia Beaver of Morriston ;
Mr. George Hatch London ; Mrs.
J. Dennis, Mr. Frank and Miss
Lottie Dennis of Exeter; Mrs. A.
Shortt and Miss H. Ortwein of

, the ceremony and congratulations
were over, the guests repaired to

wedding supper had been prepared,
the tables being laden with every
delicacy that could be wished for.
The presents were numerous,
Costly and of a serviceable charac-
ter. THE HERALD extends hearty
congratulations and good wishes to
the young couple in this, the molt
important step in life. Mr. and
Mrs. Dennis will take up their,
residence in Woodham shortly',
