CarrieWell,wife of James Creeeh,

brief illness, following confinement.
The infant also passed. away. De-
ceased was in her 39th year, and
leaves a husband and one child to

was a former resident of Zurich,
where her mother and a brother re-
side. The remains were interred in

she was a member, and in which
she held $1,000 insurance, joined

Miss Caroline Coloskey died on
Monday morning, 2nd inst. at the
Village of Dashwood, after a more
or less serious illness from her ear-
ly childhood, until the time of her
death. Caroline was brought up
near Zurich and was well acquaint-
ed here. Her taking off was not
totally unexpected, as one in such
frail health as deceased, had little
• to nope or to wish for a long =tit-
le: existenee. She was a good and
• kind ehristian woman and in her
death, she is the gainer, although
she will be 11111011 miesed by the
aged widowed mother, who bas
been her steadfast companion and
help during the years of sickness
t and suffering. The funeral took

her late home Dashwood to the

The walow sat in sombre garb
And eke with down cast ffe:4.
Alla they that pitying lingered neat
Full oft. alas, were forced to hear
The widow's doleful sighs.
ilThe widow's chin was dimpled, and
The widow's face was fair.
And. though she thought her lot so
hard
Her pallid brow was still unmarred
By marks of age or care.

One who former years had held
Tier in his arms and then.
Wronged by the gossips. went

Sat by the widow's side one day
..A.nd saw her weep again.
He look her hand in his and tried
TO give her hope -that night

And heard the clang. of passing ears,
And had the widow's “might."
