Yule, Miss Yule and Miss Emma Edighoffer, spent the lst at Mrs. Yule and Miss Edighoffer's father, Adam Edig- hoffer. Miss Hetty Swayze who for the past year has been with her sister in Montrose, Mich, returned home last Thursday and all are pleased to see Hetty looking so well and enjoying such good health. Chas. Meyer our noted mason is doing a rushing business this sea- son as he has completed seven large barns and several brick houses and cellars. Charlie is a hustler. John Bechier our prosperous pump maker has added a great im- provement to his shop in giving it a new roof. R. G. Nichol is still on the road with his egg wagon, Bob. is after every hen he sees. What might have proved a very serious aceident, happened to Miss Maggie Douglas in Barfield on Monday evening while Miss Doug- las and escort was driving up from the bridge a runaway horse collided with their buggy, throwing Miss , Douglas out hurting her aria very severely with many other bruises.
