A' spooled meeting of- the Connell
was held on Tuesday evening the
15th inst, for the purpose of d on.sid-
ering the ai.dvisibil'ity of ulettning
out the Zurich drain. After F. W.
Farncomb, the engineer, who was
present, had explained certain mat-
ters in connection with the work
the Council decided to have the
drain cleaned out as speedily as
possible and instructed Mr. Fan. -
(tomb to Make an examination and
an assessment, and report to the
Council at an early date. The
Council adjournod to meet again at
the call of the reeve. F.Hess,Clerk

BABYLON LINE
On Friday evening of last week
Mr. and Mrs. L. • Keys of Babylon
Line, entertained, at their beautiful
residence, a number of friends from
Goshen, Varna, and Hentcsvil1e.
The evening being somewhat waren
the chairs were arranged on the
lawn where the company enjoyed
themselves to the fullest extent.
In the coarse of evening the hostess
appeared and announced that lunch
was ready all repaired to the parlor
and did ample justice to the dainties
provided. The remainder of the
evening was spent in music and
social chat till at an early hour all
returned to their homes feeling
very grateful to theirahost and host-
ess for the pleasant and entertaining
evening they had spent.
