Get busy, boys, if you, wish to
make your mark in this world.
We don't meann busy at smoking
cigarettes, hanging around saloons,
but busy at something that will do
you good. when you strike out for
yourself. All kinds of business
igen are on the lookout for busy
young men. They are needed every
day in the year. The busy boy
keeps from cultivating bad habits,
keeps his mind clear. and his re-
ward will come just as surely as
two and two make four. Watch the
busy boys of your acquaintance and
see if they are not the ones that
get good positions and almost walk
up the ladder of success and fame.

SAD AOCIDNIST. Another unfort-
unate accident happened last Sat-
urday on the farm of Mr. Ross
Johnston, near Blake. Mr. John
Thirsk had his outfit there cutting;
straw, and Mr. Thirsk, in picking
tip sonic loose straw, in some way
had his hand caught in the' ma-
chine, with the result that three
fingers and part of the thumb were
so badly crushed that amputation
was necessary. Much sympathy is
felt for Mr. Thirsk as the accident
will result in the partial loss of the
use of his hand. A nu)nber of these
unfortunate accidents have happen-
ed in this viciat1ty of late, and some
precaution can surely bo taken so
as to make it an impossibility for
thein to happen.
