St. Peter's church was the scene of a very pretty wechling on Tues- day, the 24th of May, when Miss Josephine, eldest daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Regis Denoiny,was united in the holy bonds of wedlock to Mr. Peter Oorriveau, eldest son of Mr. Laurent Corrive&ti, of Filion, 1VIich. Thq bride, who is a most popular young lady looked very charming in a dress of white satin and cash- mere, with a white hat to match. Miss Matilda Denomy, younger sister of the bride, acted. as brides- maid and was becomingly attired in white. cashmere. Mr. Ed. Denomy supported the groom. The young couple left for 'Michigan on Monday, May 130th, where they will make their future, home and are followed with the best wishes of a large circle of friends, who all joined in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Oorriveau a blissful and happy married life. Sunning' DEArrr. — On Tuesday morning the people of the village were shocked to here of the sudden death of Miss Betsey A. Bell, daughter Robert P. Bell. Since her grand mother's death, she has been keeping house for her grand- father, Wm. Bell, and on Monday attended to her duties as usual. During the night she was taken ill, medical • assistance was summoned but in a few hours she was called home, without regaining conscious- ness. The funeral Was held on Thursday. The London Methodist Confer- ence began Thursday, at London, Rev. Dr, Medd, Rev. Mr. Shaw and Mr. E. Rennie are in attendance. Our optician, Mr. S. T. Hopper, purposes to visit Zurich this month.
