According to announcement in
last week's issue, • we herewith
present our r. eaderti with the follow
ing report of the proceedings of the
Convention held here last week,
from one who was present and took
tin active interest in the meetings :
The Executive Was called togeth
er at 1,30 p. m., with Mrs. Paulin,
the County President, in the chair;'
the programmes were discussed,
and the few arrangements, still ne-
cessary, for the convention,
made.
The afternoon session was opened
et 2 o'clock, with a consecration
service, led l)y Mrs. Acheson. of
Goderieli, and Mrs. Greene of Clin-
ton, several of the members taking
part, and snaking this exercise a
time of spiritual retro -Aliment. The
Convention was then called to ord-
er at 2.30, by the president, who
snake a few worus of welcome to
ever. Mrs, Baldwin, of Seaforth,
then..fa,vored the auaienoe with. a
sole, entitled "-I am a pilgriiu.'_

lection, and the passing of the
pledge; the meeting was brought to
a close With the benediction.

the Wednesday morning session
with devotional exercises. The
minutes of the previous meetings
were. react and adopted. The re-
ports of the County Superintend
tarts, on the different departments
of work, Were taken up and discuss
ed. This proved very interesting,

The afternoon session - was called
to order at 2 o'clock, Mrs. Greene
opening the meeting with conven-
tion prayer and testirnony. The
minutes Of the meeting and com-
mittee's were taken up and com-
mented -upon, after which followed
the general business. Election of
officers resulted as follows, Presi.
dent Mrs. Paulin ; Vice -President.
Mrs. Acheson,Goderich ; Cor -See.
Miss B. Steinbach ; Rec.-Sec. Mrs.
Hooper, Exeter ; `.Preas. Mrs. Seale.
Clinton, The plan of work for the
coming year w'ts read by Mrs. Ach-
eson, which recommended : (1) that URIOH,
each Union in the county shall a
work and pray for the spiritual
growth of its membership ; also
that the petition, Lord of the Har-
vest send ferth more laborers to
thy vineyard be offered at every
meeting, fully believing our prayer
will be answered. (2) that an in-
crease of membership shall be one
of our special lines of work during
the coming year. (3) that the
