Surveyors ale said to be at work locating a line for an electrio road from Cabana's brick yard to St. Joseph dock, a distance of about two miles. A meeting in the interest of M. Y. The directors of the Hay Branch Agricultural society held a meet- ing in the Town Hall, on Tuesday afternoon, and prize winners at the recent Fair can now secure their prize money. Williams, who started with the Sovereign Bank here and later retained by the Molscns, has been transferred to the London branch and left for his new duties, on Monday morning. Mr. Cullens of London and Mr. Fleming of Clinton, addressed the congregation in the Evangelical ohurch on Sunday evening, in the interests of the Y. M. C. A. It ap- pears that this organization has picked on Huron County for an ex- periment as to what can be done in the smaller villages and rural dis- t:ices to furthering the great work among young men which the socie- ty is doing in the cities, and the oxporirrmcnt• will bo watched with a good deal of sympathetic interest. After a painful and lingering illness extending over a period of nearly three months. Mr. Menno Sab.wartzentruher passed away, on Thursday evening'. The deceased was of a kindly disposition and had many warm friends in the neigh- borhood where he lived. He leaves a widow, daughter of Mr. Jacob Meyer Sr., and two daughters to mourd his loss. The remains were laid to rest in the Mennonite Ceme- tery. Goshen Line on Sunda•v fore- noon and were followed by a large number of friends and neighbors. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. N. Stauffer, of Strasburg. one of the finest in Huron. Mr. D. Steinbach is in, town this week on a visit. He is look- ing well.
