'Mrs. MoWatters and child, have returned from a visit to friends at Toronto and Raglan. Miss Helma Koehler returned to Toronto on Monday, after spending her vacation at home. Fritz had fine displays in the show hall, on Thursday. Miss Margaret Demuth, who for years has been a resident of the United States, is home visiting her -father. The Minister of Militia made an important annoucement regarding the Government's policy in regard to militia training in the public schools of the Dominion. He stat- eci that an order -in -council had been passed authorizing the u?slitia department to enter into ali''rree- ment with the • Province of Nova Scotia, in which the Government is prepared to furnish to''the schools, free of charge, competent instruc tors and ammunition. In return for this the educational department of the province will be compelled to have their teachers qualify as physical culture and drill instruc- tors. Sir Frederick also said that the order -in -council permitted the department to enter into the same agreement with the other provin- ces.
