BASEBALL
Another good.game of ball was
plu.yed on the local diamond on
Thursday evening between Hensall
I
and Zurich teems. The playing
was of a high order thranghont,
and very few errors made. Our
boys took the lead in the lst inn-
ings, scoring 3 runs after two men
bad been retired, while the first
tally for the visitors was made iu
the 4th and was the result of an
overthrow to 1st base. Hensall
pitcher put up) a good game and
was well supported by Simon, one
of the Munoey Braves, White
struck out 8 men, while A safe hits
were made off- his delivery. The
local battery, with Harvey Weber
in the box and H. IL Little back
stop, make a great combination
that is bard to beat. Weber fanned
out no less than 13. men and only 3
bits were Made off him in the seven
innings. W. J. Perkin, of Hensall
umpired the game, to the - -entire
satisfaction of all, even to the
young rooters, who occasionally
make the umpire's life miserable.
